Highlights at Slush’D

A hairdresser, a petting zoo, a light show in a dome: there were definitely a lot of surprises at Slush’D that we hadn’t expected. Of course, we also expected some things and we weren’t disappointed: there was slush ice and an exciting programme. Our personal highlight was the journey to the event, where we travelled with our start-ups, employees and partners in a (party) bus.

A packed agenda

After the opening by Oliver Hanisch, CEO of Campus Founders, one exciting programme point followed another. On two stages and at several side events, we enjoyed panels, keynotes, pitch competitions and workshops.

Discussions included topics such as the future of work, the cloud, green tech, cybersecurity and international growth. But also about finding happiness or, as author Christian Busch puts it, the serendipity mindset. Our startups Linity, CAVIGEN, NextStepHR and nanoshape GmbH were also present at the exhibition. We were able to discover a lot of what the startup scene currently has to offer and engage in conversation. After all, networking should not be neglected in addition to the whole programme.

NXTGN on the road

Together with Campus Founders and other partners, we are part of the NXTGN network, which was also well represented at Slush. NXTGN was a hot topic, especially thanks to the colourful T-shirts of the partners, but also due to the announcement on the main stage by Oliver Hanisch, CEO of Campus Founders, and Adrian Thoma, Managing Director at NXTGN. We are pleased to be part of and a driving force behind the network and will keep you updated on everything that is going to happen here.

Winners of the evening

Pitches upon pitches. On the second stage, startups presented their ideas and business models in various categories throughout the day.

We congratulate all winners of the evening who were able to take home an award.

  • Community Award: Linity
  • Female Founders Award: AICU
  • CyberOne High Tech Award Digital Tech: VCG.AI
  • CyberOne High Tech Award Industrial Tech: Cellios
  • CyberOne High Tech Award Med Tech: nanoshape GmbH
  • One Shared Vision Award: PERIAN
  • One Hundred Award: tabularis.ai

Of course, special congratulations go to the two startups related to the KIT: Linity and nanoshape GmbH.

The evening was rounded off with an after-show party after the awards ceremony. We can definitely say: Slush’D, we’d love to come back!
