That was "ECP - The First Industry Speed Dating Event" in Frankfurt

Speed dating! – was the motto of the eighth edition of the “ECP – The first Industry Speed Dating Event” in Frankfurt am Main on 6 February 2024. In addition to other KIT participants, Thomas Hirth, Vice President for Transfer and International Affairs at KIT and new member of the Executive Board of the umbrella organisation DECHEMA, as well as our Head of the KIT Founders Forge Thomas Neumann and our Investment Manager Eric Braun represented KIT at the event, which was attended by a total of around 200 participants.

However, the focus was naturally on the participating start-ups and spin-offs from our community – the teams from NOXON, ICODOS, Phabioc and Litona were also there.

The pitch sessions and the subsequent 1-on-1 speed dating offered our participating teams a first-class opportunity to make valuable contacts with the participating VCs and companies. The feedback from the participants was very positive, with the teams particularly appreciating the good discussions with the investors and industrial companies present.

All in all, the fair was a great opportunity for our participants, and who knows – maybe the speed dating session resulted in a match or two between teams and investors!
