Event
In January, an inspiring event in the “maKeIT HAPPEN” series with Dr. Alexa Maria Kunz took place at our headquarters K26. Under the title “How to be an Alien – and what Sociology has to do with it”, the event was about how to think like an alien and what insights this offers for sociology.
Thinking like an alien: New perspectives on social norms
The focus of the evening was the question of how an alien would react to behavior patterns that we consider normal and how we feel in unfamiliar social contexts. This perspective serves as a kind of lens that can be repeatedly put on to reevaluate situations.
Interactive lecture and lively discussions
A cozy and interested group gathered to listen to Dr. Alexa Maria Kunz’s interactive lecture. This was followed by exciting questions that led to in-depth discussions. Of course, networking was not neglected either: over snacks and drinks, participants were able to exchange their thoughts and make new contacts.
A big thank you to everyone involved
We would like to thank all participants for coming and for the enriching discussions. Special thanks go to Alexa for her exciting insights and the stimulating discussion.
Outlook: The next maKeIT HAPPEN in March
We are already looking forward to the next maKeIT HAPPEN in March – more information will follow shortly. Our events are open to anyone interested in a scientific exchange after work.
