trade fair
We are back at the Hannover Messe again. Every day of the week, we will be presenting two start-ups from the KIT. We are introducing the 10 exciting start-ups and spin-offs here.
Our startups at the Hannover Messe
From 31 March to 4 April, we will be represented with a stand in Hall 2, D26. The following KIT startups will be there: adjusted flow GmbH, FastCast GmbH, PrioOptics GmbH, Validaitor GmbH, Desoltik, KCM – Karlsruhe Conductive Materials, Spotium GmbH, NextStepHR GbR, Avo Labs Inc. and Catavis.
KIT will KIT will also be represented in Hall 2, B35 and in Hall 13, C76 on the subject of Energy Solutions. Those of you who are in the area are warmly invited to come by!
Monday
adjusted flow GmbH
adjusted flow is developing an AI-based optimisation software that enables companies to reduce their energy costs by planning the energy consumption of their production in such a way that processes that require a lot of energy take place when the electricity price is low.

FastCast Ceramics
FastCast Ceramics is a spin-off of the KIT that has developed a new process for the production of porous materials with a USP 0.5-50 µm pore size at >50% porosity. The process is water-based and works with any material. It is used in particular for the production of porous ceramics, but also metals, such as titanium, for the production of PTLs for PEM electrolysis. The company’s main focus is on porous high-performance ceramics for the foundry industry, for use, for example, as casting cores or for significantly accelerating the production of mould shells in investment casting.

Tuesday
Prio Optics GmbH
Prio Optics is developing a new technology for the production of optical filters. Thanks to the new, cost-effective method, the filters can be manufactured in an energy-efficient manner and are suitable for various technological applications. The aim is to further improve optics and photonics production and minimise environmental impact.

Validaitor GmbH
VALIDAITOR is the all-in-one platform for trustworthy AI. The spin-off from the KIT is a pioneer in the development of automated tools that regulate, validate and manage compliance of AI models. The VALIDAITOR platform combines all the necessary components to track AI assets, read and audit AI systems, and manage and automate compliance processes, enabling organisations to adopt trustworthy and responsible AI best practices while complying with AI regulations and standards.

Wednesday
Desoltik
Desoltik develops an intelligent multi-stage inspection system for the electronics industry. An AI identifies defective assemblies at an early stage, making repairs more economical, reducing scrap and saving resources. The idea arose from a research project at the KIT, where the founders developed a sustainable solution for the circular economy in the electronics industry. The vision is to maximise the reuse of electronic components through innovative testing procedures, thus enabling profitable reverse logistics.

KCM – Karlsruhe Conductive Materials
The use of a new physical principle allows us to offer printed electronics with increased conductivity through a more efficient use of the conductive particles. Silver is often used as a conductive material due to its high conductivity and good durability. However, industrial silver consumption in electronics is increasing every year and already accounts for 40% of total silver demand. We use the limited conductive resource more efficiently and thus generate a cost advantage through lower material usage. We work closely with customers to offer customised solutions.

Thursday
Spotium GmbH
Spotium is back again! And this time with another solution! Acquiring new customers is crucial for industrial companies right now. This is precisely where the KIT spin-off Spotium comes in. Their AI software thinks like a sales engineer of an industrial company. With Spotium, international target customer lists can be created that are precisely tailored to the technical product portfolio – including the OEMs of a market. In addition, Spotium has developed a service that makes CRM customer data usable for targeted marketing and sales campaigns according to internal requirements.

NextStepHR GmbH
NextStepHR takes on time-consuming tasks in recruiting, such as selecting suitable recruiting channels and designing, managing and optimising job ads. By using AI, they can make data-based decisions about suitable job portals and social media platforms, thus reducing the cost per application and positioning companies well for the future.

Friday
AvoLabs
AvoLabs offers AI-based educational platforms to connect teachers and students via AI avatars, AI analysis, gamification and much more.

Catavis
Catavis is developing the next generation of immobilised biocatalysts for a sustainable and future-oriented chemical industry. Using our CataGel technology, we produce customised, catalytically active biomaterials that are characterised by their outstanding stability and activity. Our technology thus enables the cost-efficient and environmentally friendly production of valuable chemicals.
