Last Saturday, Germany's largest student start-up competition GROW came to an end with the grand finale in AUDIMAX at KIT's South Campus. More than 240 participants and more than 70 teams took part in the tenth edition of the annual start-up competition.
The team of KIT-Gründerschmiede was of course live at the anniversary event and we congratulate all those who have worked with great passion on their start-up idea at GROW in the past 3 months.
The pitches on the evening were framed by a great program, be it the welcome by Mrs. Bettina Stark-Watzinger, Federal Minister for Education and Research and by the patron Prof. Dr. Thomas Hirth, Vice President for Transfer and International Affairs, the keynotes by Dalith Steiger-Gablinger and Janine Weirich, or the great jury. And of course there was plenty of time for networking, exchanging ideas and celebrating.
In the end, the decision among the 10 finalists was, as always, a close number. We are happy that with Rement (1st place) , MeinDein (2nd place) and MaDeCa (3rd place & sustainability award) teams have won, which we ourselves have been able to accompany for a longer time since the initial consultation – like so many others who were at the start this time at GROW.
