Around 25,000 visitors flocked to the two-square-kilometre KIT site in the Hardtwald on 17 June in bright sunshine from 10:00 a.m. to experience hands-on science.
More than 200 individual programme items offered comprehensive information on diverse topics such as energy, climate and sustainability research or disruptive technologies such as artificial intelligence or robotics in varied forms of presentation.
Our team from StartupSecure KASTEL (SuSK) was also represented with a stand, together with the KASTEL Security Research Labs. Here, everything revolved around the topic of cyber security. Various hands-on exhibits such as VR goggles and a blurry box (software protection based on the Kerkhoff principle) could be tried out by young and old. A historical cipher machine also allowed a look into the past of encryption technology.
Furthermore, our team informed about our offers in the field of cyber security and those of the KIT-Gründerschmiede in general. The KIT spin-off Validator, which was recently funded by SuSK, was also present at the stand and gave an insight into the development of a platform for the validation of machine learning models.
