Event
The IT Security Day took place for the 13th time on 20.07.23 in the Baden Hall of the Karlsruhe Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
StartUpSecure KASTEL was also there as a co-exhibitor with KASTEL Security Research Labs. Two start-ups from our community presented themselves – Jürgen Vollmer pitched for Primary Target and Daniel Stutz for XplicitTrust. In addition, Prof. Dr. Christian Wresnegger from KASTEL gave a presentation on the topic of “Security and Explainability of AI”. This and much more was followed with great interest by the more than 100 participants, as the audience was not only interested in theory but also in practical applications. Prof. Dr. Marian Margraf from FU Berlin delivered his remarks in a very charming way, which further relaxed the atmosphere and encouraged open discussion. The lecture by our cooperation partner WIBU Systems on “Quantum Computers and Cybersecurity” was also very well received.
All in all, it was a very successful event – for the organisers, the speakers and the participants.
Outlook: In mid-November, StartUpSecure KASTEL will hold the 2nd security webinar with the Karlsruhe Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
The IT Security Day deals with current IT security challenges for companies. It makes clear how important it is to deal professionally with the topics of IT security and data protection and provides detailed information on prevention options.
