Together with our EPICUR partners, the EnTechnon team held a Summer School at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki (AUTh), Greece with great success. During this event, 29 participants from eight European universities developed and presented innovative solutions to current and future sustainable and social challenges. A main feature of the Summer School is the synthesis of new technologies, sustainability issues and the characteristics of the individual. Thus, patents and technologies from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh) and the University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (BOKU) were used to test their potential to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and to develop future-oriented solutions for society and the environment.

The EPICUR Entrepreneurial Lab – Summer School Edition is a project-based, international and interdisciplinary teaching and training program for EPICUR students, jointly organized by Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh), University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences (BOKU) and Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). Based on the mission and vision of the European Union, the Entrepreneurial Lab aims to exploit synergies between EPICUR partner universities and to provide state-of-the-art education on entrepreneurship by pooling expertise from the regional EPICUR network. The Summer School was funded and supported by the Horizon 2020 program of the European Union and the EXIST program of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.
