At the end of June, a Soft Landing Inbound event was held for the second time as part of GHPro with participants from Chile. Around 20 interested people, including both start-ups and those interested in founding a company, took part in the two-day digital event.
Chile is a strategic partner country of KIT, and we have a long-standing and stable partnership with the Universidad de Concepción in particular. Through such offers and programmes, this partnership is strengthened and further developed.
We put together and designed the two-day programme together with our regional partners BW_i, AXEL, the Federal Association of German Startups, German Entrepreneurship. The event took place in cooperation with the incubator of the Universidad de Concepción (IncubaUdec).
The participating start-ups and people interested in founding a company actively asked questions, even about administrative details, and had lively discussions. The best practice session with presentations by two Chilean start-ups that have established themselves here in Germany was particularly interesting.
The Soft Landing Programme was very well received. The feedback from the participating start-ups was positive, and some asked for further support to gain a foothold in Germany. The feedback was particularly positive for the informative session on the specific requirements of setting up a business in Germany. They also showed interest in further events.
Germany is a very attractive business location for Chile. And this connection is also interesting from a German perspective, because the potential of Chilean start-ups is high, especially in the energy sector.
For us as KIT-Gründerschmiede, it was very interesting to get to know the Chilean start-up culture further and their great interest makes us very happy. As well as the fact that the relationship with Chile and especially with UdeC will be further developed.
