Effectuation is an approach by Saras Sarasvathy, Professor of Entreperneurship and Ethics at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and founder of several companies in her country of origin, India. This strategic approach is designed primarily to help entrepreneurs and executives better respond to dynamic market conditions, threats, and opportunities in order to sustain the success of their organizations. However, Effectuation can also help those interested in starting a business to develop their business ideas.
