KHYS-Workshop: „From Research to Startup”

Identifying potential for new products or services in one’s own research – in the KHYS workshop “From Research to Startup”, Prof. Orestis Terzidis (EnTechnon) and Dr. Niels Feldmann (KIT intrapreneurship programme “maKeIT”) provided a group of interested researchers with initial knowledge and approaches on how exactly this can succeed.

Alternating between short theoretical impulses and subsequent practical exercises, the participants analysed opportunities for start-ups in their own research. With topics such as “Identifying opportunities”, “Understanding customers and markets” or “Convincing stakeholders”, various aspects of entrepreneurship and intrapreneurship were highlighted. Finally, the researchers received an overview of further offers from the Gründerschmiede and the new KIT intrapreneurship team “maKeIT”.
