International visit as part of the Start-up BW Discovery Tour South

As KIT-Gründerschmiede, we were part of this year’s Start-up BW Discovery Tour South and welcomed the coach with start-ups from Ukraine, Algeria and India to the ZEISS Innovation Hub@KIT on 9 July. During our lunch event, we once again presented the KIT start-up incubator in detail. We placed particular emphasis on our ecosystem and the customised services we offer. Finally, the delegation participants were able to gain an insight into the exciting world of research at KIT during a guided tour of the campus.

The Discovery Tour itself is a tour sponsored by Start-up BW that offers international start-ups and players the opportunity to get to know the Baden-Württemberg start-up ecosystem. During this tour, participants visit various cities and institutions to gain insights into the support and promotion of start-ups in Baden-Württemberg. The aim is to position the region as an attractive location for international start-ups and to promote long-term partnerships.

The visit to Karlsruhe was an impressive experience and once again demonstrated the region’s strength as a leading location for innovative start-ups, also in an international context and in cooperation with Baden-Württemberg International (BW_i). The close networking of universities, companies and public institutions creates an environment for young companies to develop successfully. As a KIT start-up incubator, we look forward to utilising the international knowledge and contacts gained to continue contributing to the dynamic development of the start-up scene.

On Thursday, we met the Discovery Tour participants again at the Start-up BW Summit in Stuttgart, a major event for international start-ups. The Start-up BW Summit provided an excellent platform for exchanging information about the various start-up ecosystems in Baden-Württemberg and making valuable contacts.
