KIT Gründerschmiede was pleased to co-host the closing of the German Roadshow of the Israeli-Arab Hasoub Innovation Community with Helmholtz Israel. The roadshow offered a unique opportunity for German start-ups, especially from the AI sector, as well as interested parties from science, industry and politics to network and learn from the dynamic ecosystem in Germany. Karlsruhe, even after visits to other major cities, was the crowning finale of the trip and a look at the development in the technology region of Karlsruhe and Baden-Württemberg. Our colleague Ralf led through the event and gives us an insight here.
It was a day full of inspiration, knowledge exchange and networking. In cooperation with Helmholtz Israel, KIT Gründerschmiede successfully completed the German Roadshow of the Israeli-Arab Hasoub Innovation Community.
The aim of the event was to intensify the connection between the German and the Israeli/Arab start-up scene and to offer a platform for exchange with representatives of the German economy, science and politics. For this purpose, the delegation visited different cities, including KIT and Karlsruhe. The event not only offered an insight into the Israeli/Arab ecosystem, but also the opportunity to get to know innovative start-ups and discuss cooperation opportunities.

The day began with an open networking phase, followed by a welcome from the KIT Founders’ Forge. The introduction to the roadshow by Andrea Frahm and Rabea Zioud set the mood for the day. A special highlight was Rabea Zioud’s presentation on the challenges and opportunities of Arab founders in Israel, which gave many food for thought. From Baden-Württemberg International, Andreas Pfister presented the benefits of The Länd.
The six start-up pitches offered impressive business ideas and internationalisation opportunities, while the final networking session was used by many to deepen conversations and explore new partnerships.

Overall, the event was a success and another step towards an inclusive and cooperative future between Germany, Karlsruhe and the Israeli-Arab innovation community. We are excited about further developments and look forward to future collaboration with our partners in the context of various offers and projects.
Special thanks to the Helmholtz Israel Innovation Hub, dedicated to promoting bilateral knowledge and technology transfer, and Hasoub, passionate about the next generation of Arab tech entrepreneurs.
