Scaling Up Sourdough – How a Karlsruhe-Based Food Startup Is Conquering the U.S. Market
How do you create products that people actually buy? And how did a startup from Karlsruhe manage to secure a spot on the shelves of one of the largest retailers in the United States?
Sven Häuser-Eisenmann will be our guest during our discussion and Q&A session. As a serial entrepreneur, he has already launched several products on the market—from the FlipPen to the Xantus KO-drop bracelet, and his current startup, milly’s. Over the years, he has developed his own approach to quickly test ideas, validate products, and conquer new markets.
This time, the focus is on milly’s, which he founded with his co-founder and former KIT student, Kim Eisenmann. The concept: sourdough without a complicated starter, just water—and the idea is gaining traction. Today, milly’s is available in Target stores across the United States.
Here, Sven will talk about serial entrepreneurship, developing physical products, establishing international distribution channels, and how an idea can evolve into a scalable business. There will be time for questions, discussion, and direct exchanges.
If you’re a regular at the Founder’s Barbecue, you’ve probably already met Sven—so we’re all the more delighted to welcome him back. Afterward, we’ll all get together for the Founder’s Barbecue at IHK.
Registration is required—space is limited.
The event will be held in English.
