Founder Legal Boot Camp2026 Southwest Edition

We are pleased to invite you to the tenth edition of the Orrick Founder Legal Boot Camp—this time to the Southwest Edition in Karlsruhe. Orrick is hosting the FLBC in collaboration with KIT Karlsruhe, the Transfer Center of the University of Stuttgart (TRACES), and TUM Venture Labs in Munich and Heilbronn.

After hosting the FLBC at the University of Stuttgart last year, this year’s FLBC Southwest will take place at KIT Karlsruhe. The event will be held in a hybrid format, and participants can also attend entirely remotely via ZOOM.

In the boot camp, Orrick shares its experience from working with countless startups and shows you what really matters in the early stages of founding a company. You will gain practical insights into topics such as building a strong founding team and fair distribution of shares, forming a company, startup financing and convertible bonds, term sheet deep dives for equity financing, data protection and cybersecurity, IP must-haves and university spin-offs, labor law basics, tax pitfalls in the early stages, international holding structures including Delaware flip, employee stock options, and exciting case studies on AI business models.
