Overview

Building a bridge to Germany and supporting young tech start-ups in establishing a business in Germany and specifically in Baden-Württemberg with contacts and an assessment of their business model – that is the mission of our Deep Tech Soft Landing boot camps with international founders. For the third edition of the one-week digital boot camp, 11 startups from India were invited and convinced with their business models from the fields of EduTech, MedTech and Renewable Energy, among others.

The teams were offered an extensive weekly program: Individual coaching, training on pitching, intercultural communication and financing, as well as sessions on all settlement issues were among the highlights. The speakers included representatives from GINSEP, GTAI, SAP IO and BW_i.

The boot camp had been invited by KIT-Gründerschmiede together with its partners for the week Let’s bridge IT, the business development agency of the City of Karlsruhe, and GINSEP. Representing the state of Baden-Württemberg, Let’s Bridge IT promotes Indo-German business cooperation between India and Baden-Württemberg and supports international talents and science-based deep tech founders from India who want to start their tech business in Germany.

And this mission is clearly in line with the Global Horizon program of KIT-Gründerschmiede: Our goal is to make KIT and our regional partners an internationally visible contact point and competence center for prospective founders as well as supporters, industry partners, and investors. The focus here is primarily on the development of DeepTech start-ups, also with reference to global societal challenges.
