This year, the prize in the “Scale!” category of the Microsoft Intelligent Manufacturing Award 2023 goes to two companies from Baden-Württemberg. The high-tech company TRUMPF Werkzeugmaschinen SE + Co KG has developed a new solution for the remote control of machines with the AI start-up and KIT spin-off prenode. The laser cutting machines are equipped with cameras and sensors and networked with the cloud so that every movement can be controlled from the Remote Control Center.
At the same time, the machine and camera data are evaluated with the help of artificial intelligence to proactively point out problems and improvements. User feedback is systematically fed back to the AI to lay the foundation for the development of fully autonomous machines.
