Our Team

Here, you will find the team members of the KIT Founders Forge. We have one common goal: making KIT a Founders Forge and a leading innovational driver for the businesses of the future! We are working to support you in your startup enterprise.

Project coordination

Dr. Jens Fahrenberg

is one of the two coordinators of the "Founders Forge KIT" and the full-time Head of the central Innovation and Relations Management (IRM). He is responsible for the EXIST funding of the KIT and, with his team, is especially committed to the target group of scientific employees. Simultaneously, he takes on different roles at regional and national startup initiatives (such as Gründerallianz Karlsruhe, DENKFABRIK Gründerhochschulen, or Technologieallianz e.V.).

Prof. Dr. Orestis Terzidis

is also a coordinator of the Founders Forge and is the full-time Head of the KIT Institute for Entrepreneurship, Technology Management and Innovation (EnTechnon). Together with his team, he is responsible for entrepreneurship teaching and qualification and for the target group of students in particular. In addition to activities in entrepreneurship research, he is also active in the startup field such as being on the committee of the Förderkreises Gründungs-Forschung e.V.

Abilio Avila

is a doctoral candidate at the EnTechnon Institute. He coordinates the research events at EnTechnon and is responsible for the design and implementation of executive trainings. Furthermore, he advises software startups in the area of B2B.

Alexander Tittel

is a doctoral candidate and a coordinator of the teaching events at EnTechnon. In addition to his own research work, his core tasks include planning, design, and implementation of teaching units in the field of entrepreneurship. Additionally, he is a contact partner for international contacts from the Eastern European region.

Ralph Henn

is a doctoral candidate at the EnTechnon Institute. He coordinates the research activities in the field of Entrepreneurial Ecosystems. He is responsible for leading the seminar Business Planning for Founders. Furthermore he is member of the PionierGarage e.V., which is the largest student entrepreneurship group in Germany.

Thomas Neumann

is Head of the Department of Business Development at IRM and an accredited HTGF coach. He supervises and advises research-based startup projects in all stages of a business startup and coordinates the advanced training courses of IRM for scientific employees of the KIT.

Dr. Rolf Blattner

is a Business Development Manager at IRM and an accredited HTGF coach. He holds longstanding experience in consulting and supervision of research-based startup projects. In particular, his expertise also encompasses the acquisition of public startup funding programs of the federal government and state of Baden-Württemberg.

Nina Stock

is a Business Development Manager at IRM. She coordinates building and development of the KIT crowdfunding platform "KITcrowd". Furthermore, she supervises and advises research-based startup projects in all stages of a business startup.

Dr. Eric Braun

is responsible for the supervision of spin-off-shareholdings at KIT. He actively supports the development of Spin-offs on behalf of the shareholder KIT and in close coordination with investors, from the starting up stage through the early development and growing stage to EXIT.

Tanja Funke

is a Startup Manager at the Center for Interdisciplinary Entrepreneurship (CIE). She advises startups in all stages of founding: from developing the business model to market entry. Her tasks also include communications that deal with CIE offers and events.

Tanja Himstedt

is a Project Administrator for all areas of the KIT Founders Forge. In operative project management, she is responsible for financing, personnel administration, internal and external reporting, and the announcement EnTechnon courses.

Each one of us has its own special areas with various tasks and competences. We support you and are available for general and concrete questions. We look forward to working with you and exchanging ideas.
